At AmeriLife, we are seeking a talented and experienced Mid-Level Business Intelligence (BI) Developer who will play a crucial role in enhancing our financial and accounting operations through the development, maintenance, and optimization of BI solutions. With over 50 years of experience in the insurance industry, AmeriLife has established itself as a leader in the development, marketing, and distribution of annuity, life, and health insurance solutions. Our associates take pride in providing agents, marketers, and carrier partners with the necessary support to thrive in a rapidly evolving industry. The ideal candidate for this position will have a strong background in the Microsoft stack, including SQL Server, SSIS, SSRS, and Power BI, along with at least 5 years of experience in BI development. A solid understanding of accounting and financial principles is essential for this role, as you will be working closely with accounting, finance, and other business teams to gather requirements and deliver BI solutions that meet their needs. In this role, you will be responsible for modifying software to fix errors, adapting it to new hardware, improving performance, and upgrading interfaces. You will direct system testing and validation procedures, oversee software programming and documentation development, and consult with various departments on project status and proposals. Your analytical skills will be put to use as you recommend and plan the installation of new systems or modifications to existing systems, ensuring that our BI solutions are effective and efficient. As a Mid-Level BI Developer, you will also design and develop software systems using scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict and measure outcomes, preparing reports on programming project specifications, activities, or status. You will confer with project managers to obtain information on limitations or capabilities, ensuring that our BI solutions align with the organization's goals and objectives.
