About the position

The BI Developer at HCSC is responsible for partnering with engagement leads to identify opportunities and develop analytics and reporting solutions. This role emphasizes advanced data visualization skills using platforms like Tableau and Power BI, along with proficiency in SQL and Azure, to create actionable insights from complex data sets.

Responsibilities

• Partner with engagement leads to identify opportunities for analytics and reporting solutions.
• Develop and maintain business intelligence solutions in collaboration with business stakeholders.
• Utilize advanced data visualization skills to create dashboards and reports using Power BI, Tableau, and Qlik.
• Promote innovative insights by gaining a solid understanding of available data.
• Identify opportunities to rationalize and modernize reporting and dashboard self-service solutions.
• Distill complex business information into actionable insights for stakeholders.
• Source, interpret, and present analytics in a thoughtful and meaningful manner.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in IT or related field and 1 year of experience with data visualization platforms, or 5 years' experience with data visualization platforms.
• Proficiency in SQL and Azure or other data warehousing platforms.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to maintain attention to detail under tight deadlines.
• Excellent written, communication, and presentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility and a proactive approach.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with embedded analytics and infographics.
• Familiarity with Qlik as a data visualization tool.
