About the position

The Business Intelligence (BI) developer role involves working within a team to analyze, design, and develop BI solutions. The position requires close collaboration with business and IT partners to transform requirements into effective solutions, utilizing expertise in various BI tools and SQL programming. The BI developer also provides consultative services and support on reporting and data management best practices.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and design BI solutions in collaboration with business and IT partners.
• Develop reports and dashboards using SAP Business Objects tools such as Web Intelligence, Xcelsius, and Crystal Reports.
• Provide consultative services on reporting and data management best practices to other departments.
• Translate business requirements into technical specifications for BI solutions.
• Migrate reporting from older versions of Business Objects to newer versions or from Cognos to Business Objects.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
• 5+ years of experience in SAP Business Objects BI solutions including Universe design, Web Intelligence, Xcelsius/Dashboards, and Crystal Reports.
• 2+ years of experience with Dimensional Modeling and Business Intelligence design concepts.
• 1+ year of experience in the Application development lifecycle.
• Strong SQL programming skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Master's Degree in Computer Science, Business, or Engineering.
• 7+ years of experience with SAP Business Objects.
• 2+ years of experience with SQL programming.
• 3+ years of experience in Database architecture and data modeling.
• 2+ years of experience in the Application development lifecycle.
