The BI Developer/Business Analyst role is a critical position aimed at enhancing the business intelligence and analytics capabilities of the organization. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in data analysis, data architecture, SQL, and business intelligence tools, particularly in the design and development of dashboards. This position requires a strong understanding of the BI landscape, including the ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications and to develop custom analytics solutions that meet the needs of various stakeholders. The role is hybrid, based in Woodland Hills, CA, and is structured as a 6-month contract with the potential for conversion to a full-time position. In this role, the BI Developer will be responsible for executing the end-to-end development of BI solutions. This includes gathering business requirements, designing and developing solutions, performing user acceptance training, and maintaining the solutions post-implementation. The candidate will also be tasked with developing and maintaining dashboards and other BI solutions using tools such as Tableau, Salesforce, and custom Microsoft solutions. A significant part of the job involves assisting internal stakeholders with their analytics needs, evaluating current tools, and identifying gaps in analytics capabilities to support strategic decision-making based on data analysis. The BI Developer will perform and document data analysis, validation, and mapping, producing data samples and ad hoc analyses. Strong T-SQL skills are essential for agile data analysis and preparation for front-end BI implementation. The role also requires collaboration with business stakeholders to identify weaknesses in current solutions and to implement improvements. Additionally, the candidate will evaluate and plan for the automation of manual data extracts and other reporting activities, ensuring that all project documentation is maintained and updated. The position demands responsiveness to feedback and the creation of training and quality assurance documentation to ensure the accuracy and effectiveness of reports and data usage.
