About the position

The BI Developer role at Genesis10 focuses on enabling Power BI self-service, managing ticket-based requests, and enhancing reporting capabilities in an agile environment. This position is a 6-month contract with the potential for permanent placement, working in a hybrid schedule with a client in Milwaukee, WI.

Responsibilities

• Provide overflow support for Power BI, including feature requests and report optimization.
• Write and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and views to support reporting and data access needs.
• Maintain SSRS reports and manage subscriptions for automated reporting.

Requirements

• Proficiency in Microsoft SQL, including query authoring, stored procedures, views, and performance optimization.
• Experience in SSRS report authoring and configuring subscriptions.
• Skilled in Power BI, including DAX, Power Query, and Data Gateways.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical skills to extract and interpret requirements from business partners.
• Adaptability to shifting priorities.
• Commitment to testing rigor and quality ownership.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with SSIS.
• Familiarity with Git.
