About the position

The BI Developer at Benevis is responsible for programming queries for the enterprise data warehouse, developing end-user reports, and providing training and support for users in the latest BI tools. This role requires interaction with both technical and non-technical staff, and it offers significant professional growth potential in a collaborative team environment.

Responsibilities

• Meet with end users, analyze information needs, and recommend reporting and analytic solutions
• Program reports using Microsoft tools such as Power BI, Excel, and SSRS
• Program queries in SQL Server to support the data warehouse and provide end users with data sets
• Work with users to create ad-hoc reports and data queries
• Provide training to end users on BI tools as part of a self-service environment
• Ensure the cleanliness and accuracy of analytical data
• Identify any project risks and impediments, notify management, and work with other team members to complete assigned tasks as defined by project scope, timelines and budget

Requirements

• Bachelors Degree
• Microsoft SQL Server development experience, including database design, SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS), SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), and SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)
• Proficient in relational and OLAP database design, development, and interaction using Microsoft SQL Server
• Solid experience at writing complex Microsoft SQL Server T-SQL queries and understanding requirements for complex queries and procedures
• Experience with Power BI development including DAX programming
• Experience with Excel Power BI tools (Power Pivot, Power View, Power Query)
• At least 2-3 years of recent work experience in a BI development environment
• Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills
• Ability to set deadlines and manage time to meet project requirements

Nice-to-haves

• Knowledge of Healthcare industry programming
• Previous work in an Agile/Scrum team environment
• Experience with Team Foundation Server
