About the position

The BI Developer position at a global shipping firm in central NJ involves working on-site for the first 90 days before transitioning to a hybrid model with remote work two days a week. The role focuses on developing and maintaining tabular cubes to support data-driven decision-making and collaborating with BI Support to address inquiries and implement enhancements for analytics solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design, document, administer and maintain AAS cubes (Tabular using DAX).
• Analyze existing complex systems to understand and document data elements, relationships, data flow, dependencies, and their related interfaces.
• Perform unit testing and resolve defects.
• Design, develop, and support back-end solutions for intuitive reports and dashboards using Microsoft Fabric capabilities.
• Data model design with calculated columns, measures, and calculated tables.
• Create and maintain detailed documentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Technology.
• 2 years of experience in design, development, maintenance, and performance tuning on Azure Analysis Services.
• Strong SQL and T-SQL programming skills.
• Experience with dimensional data modeling.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure DB, Azure DW, or Fabric is a plus.
• Experience with the creation of data warehouses is a plus.
