About the position

The BI Development Manager at Amadeus Travel Intelligence is responsible for leading the software development team focused on the commercial Decision Support technology. This role involves overseeing the migration of services to a cloud-based environment, specifically Azure, and managing multiple scrum teams to ensure successful product transitions. The manager will also be accountable for team performance, budget management, and strategic planning to align with company objectives.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team responsible for analyzing user needs and designing, coding, testing, debugging, documenting, and maintaining software solutions.
• Oversee the cloud migration effort from on-premises data centers to Azure, utilizing Databricks as the platform.
• Accountable for the budget, performance, and results of a medium-sized team or multiple teams.
• Define and share the technical/functional team roadmap and vision according to departmental objectives.
• Report on team activities and performance results.
• Develop plans and priorities to address resource and operational challenges.
• Collaborate with other software development, architecture, solutions, and QA teams to ensure software systems are designed for testability, stability, scalability, and performance.
• Ensure timely communication to team members regarding company information.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Engineering, or related discipline.
• 10+ years of experience in the Information Technology Industry.
• 5+ years of team lead or people management experience.
• Experience with cloud migrations, especially Big Data.
• Azure Cloud migration experience.
• Technical skills in Azure, Databricks, Python, PySpark, React, Java, Kubernetes, Docker, and Datadog/Splunk/PrometheGrafana.
• Significant experience mitigating output of CISO audits and requirements.
• Best practices across the full Software Development Lifecycle.
