As a member of the Business Intelligence team, the ETL Developer is responsible for managing the design, development, implementation, management, and support of critical enterprise Business Intelligence reporting processes and environments. The ETL Developer will utilize their knowledge of data warehousing and architecture to develop ETL solutions and assist in automating data extraction from source systems, transforming unstructured and disparate source data into target data stores or data marts. This role is pivotal in ensuring that the organization can effectively leverage its data for decision-making and operational efficiency. The ETL Developer will employ various data warehousing concepts to build a data warehouse for internal departments, determining the storage needs for reporting databases and the data warehouse. They will create and enhance data solutions that enable seamless data delivery, taking responsibility for collecting, parsing, managing, and performing complex data analysis and validation on large datasets to ensure data accuracy and integrity. Additionally, the ETL Developer will research and troubleshoot data anomalies, recommending and implementing corrective actions as necessary. In this role, the ETL Developer will lead the design of the logical data model and implement the physical database structure, constructing operational data stores and data marts. They will develop and support stored procedures, and must be proficient in coding with open SQL language in SQL and HANA cloud foundry (BAS) environments. The developer will also create smart data integration (SDI) objects between multiple source systems to facilitate transformation, extraction, and loading into target databases. Monitoring, creating, and troubleshooting SAP job failures through SAP HANA and SAC cockpit will be essential for maintaining high-performance system availability. The ETL Developer will perform performance optimization and tuning on both new and existing data warehouse and ETL operations, participating in ongoing architecture quality review activities to ensure compliance with architecture standards. Documentation for existing architecture, data dictionaries, and future data warehouse architecture will also be a key responsibility, along with preparing detailed requirement specifications documents, workflow analysis, user guides, and functional specification documents.
