About the position
The BI Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for the architecture, engineering, and support of the Enterprise BI application environments. This role involves multitasking and supporting multiple BI development and operations teams, as well as a diverse user community. The position requires participation in an on-call rotation and focuses on ensuring high availability and low latency for various BI suite services.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design, analysis, development, and implementation of engineering infrastructure solutions for BI projects.
- Conduct risk assessments and partner on capacity planning.
- Diagnose and correct application/network problems.
- Provide thought leadership within Infrastructure Engineering on broader projects.
- Plan, research, evaluate, design, and develop complex network systems.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline (preferred).
- At least six to eight years of experience in BI Infrastructure & Administration support.
- Advanced knowledge of various BI Product Suite (BI Server, Web Portal, Data Store, Desktop Clients).
- Advanced proficiency in system/application administration and troubleshooting.
- Experience with reporting and data analysis software.
- Knowledge of various reporting platforms and cross-platform technology concepts.
- Experience with BI Infrastructure Support including installs, upgrades, patches, and disaster recovery planning.
- Strong ability to manage, install, and administer BOBJ environments.
- Experience with SAP B2B tools such as HANA and authentication tools like OKTA.
- Ability to create and support custom .NET SDK VB/JSP scripts.
- Experience with event-driven job scheduling and writing custom BOE reports.

- Experience with SSRS, PowerBI, and the Cognos analytics suite.
