About the position

The Library Communications Specialist serves as the primary point of contact for patrons of public libraries across North America, handling inquiries via phone and live chat. This remote position emphasizes a team-oriented environment focused on customer satisfaction, offering flexible schedules and opportunities for advancement.

Responsibilities

  • Answer phone calls and live chat contacts from library patrons.
  • Provide information and assistance to patrons regarding library services.
  • Handle inquiries efficiently and professionally.
  • Maintain a high level of customer service and satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Excellent use of the English language.
  • Bilingual in Spanish, with an additional $1 per hour pay.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • At least 6 months of phone-based customer service experience.
  • Excellent keyboarding and computer skills.
  • At least two years of post-high school education is highly desired.
  • Must have a reliable, high-speed internet connection.
