About the position

As a Manager in Product Management at Travelers, you will oversee the growth and profitability of specific products or lines of business. This role involves analyzing complex business problems, proposing data-driven solutions, and collaborating with key stakeholders to ensure strategic alignment and successful execution of business objectives. You will also lead cross-functional teams and coach analysts to drive growth strategies and product development.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and guide the data analysis of business results including product refreshes and performance expectations.
  • Develop and influence recommendations to drive desired growth and profitability impacts.
  • Present and influence recommendations to key leadership stakeholders regarding product/pricing changes or new product builds.
  • Act as a senior resource in key strategic initiatives to support organizational goals.
  • Manage, coach, and guide analysts in their work.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Management/Administration, Mathematics, Finance, Actuarial Science, Economics, or related field.
  • Five years' experience in a mathematical, analytical, or data-related role, preferably in financial services.
  • Experience developing techniques and procedures for forecasting insurance financials.
  • Deep understanding of Travelers' business strategy and objectives.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact and influence management.
  • Strong analytical skills to evaluate data and recommend changes.
  • Knowledge of pricing and actuarial techniques and concepts.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in the insurance industry.
  • Familiarity with local regulatory nuances and marketplace dynamics.
