About the position

The BI/SQL Developer role is focused on leveraging data to create insightful reports and dashboards that support business decision-making. This position requires a strong background in SQL and data visualization tools, with an emphasis on developing efficient reporting solutions and collaborating with teams to enhance data-driven strategies.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and scorecards using various reporting tools.
• Conduct technical requirements analysis and business process modeling/mapping.
• Utilize data visualization techniques to present data effectively.
• Write complex SQL queries for data retrieval from Microsoft SQL Server databases.
• Import data for use in reporting software, spreadsheets, and flowcharts.
• Collaborate with team members to enhance reporting capabilities and data analysis processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information management systems, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
• Minimum 8 years of related work experience, with a maximum of 10 years.
• Proven experience with report writing and dashboard development.
• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server relational and OLAP database software.
• Ability to write complicated yet efficient SQL queries.
• Working knowledge of SSRS and PowerBI is desirable.
• Experience with OpenText BI and/or Tableau is beneficial.
• Excellent analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
• Ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with data visualization techniques.
• Familiarity with business process modeling/mapping.
