About the position

The BI Technical Project Manager (TPM) - Data Engineering & Analytics will lead the Enterprise Data Warehouse Cloud Migration project, focusing on migrating existing data from SQL Server to the Snowflake Cloud platform. This role involves managing change management processes to ensure user engagement and training for a large cross-functional user base. The TPM will oversee all aspects of the project from inception to implementation, ensuring timely delivery within scope and budget.

Responsibilities

• Lead and drive the project to architect and build data and analytics, ensuring quality and consistency across business functions.
• Facilitate and lead different workstreams within the project using technical and data analytics experience.
• Collaborate with Enterprise Analytics portfolio owners, developers, analysts, and cross-functional business stakeholders to migrate EDW data and its reports to the Snowflake Cloud platform.
• Manage code conversion, data foundation build, and reports and analytics migration efforts across various business functions.
• Conduct alignment sessions with business partners, IT counterparts, and internal teams.
• Work independently with minimal supervision, providing structured analytical efforts for ongoing and new projects.
• Manage all aspects of program deliverables from project inception to implementation and resource oversight.
• Lead technical delivery, implementation, and business change management for new data analytics and business intelligence solutions.
• Develop detailed project plans and timelines to monitor and track project progress.
• Assist in defining project scope and objectives, ensuring technical feasibility with relevant stakeholders.
• Track and monitor daily tasks and overall progress for multiple workstreams.
• Manage risks and escalations effectively, ensuring timely resolution of issues.
• Document best practices and measure performance using project management tools.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Science, or relevant work experience in BI space.
• 7 years of experience in leading BI projects and programs related to data engineering, data analytics, business intelligence, and data warehouse (On-prem or Cloud).
• Hands-on experience with Enterprise Data Warehouse, Snowflake Cloud, and Business Intelligence tools such as SQL and Tableau.
• Strong acumen with all Project Management Knowledge areas and understanding of System Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Experience delivering projects using hybrid project methods (Waterfall and Agile).
• Proven track record of managing scope, timeline, risks, issues, and escalations effectively.
• Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills across project teams and stakeholders.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in leading organizational change efforts using data tools and solutions.
• Previous roles as Business Intelligence/Data Warehouse Solution Architect, Data Engineer, or Technical Business System Analyst before becoming TPM.
• Experience as a Scrum master.
