About The Position
We are looking for Big Data Architect IT Consultant Master professionals for an upcoming long-term project with the Office of the Chief Technology Officer (OCTO). This is a full-time, onsite position with our company, and the project is specifically with the OCTO. Candidates will need to provide proof of Covid-19 vaccination if offered the role. The selected candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of an enterprise Big Data solution as part of the OCTO Data Modernization Effort. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work collaboratively with a senior data team that supports the Chief Data Officer of the District of Columbia. The role requires expertise in developing a Big Data/Data Lake system architecture that supports enterprise data operations for the District of Columbia government. This includes involvement in Internet of Things (IoT) and Smart City projects, enterprise data warehousing, the open data portal, and data science applications. The architecture will utilize Databricks and Microsoft Azure platform tools, including Data Lake and Synapse, as well as data pipeline/ETL development tools such as Streamsets and Azure Data Factory. The platform is designed for district-wide use and will integrate with other OCTO Enterprise Data tools, including Esri, Tableau, MicroStrategy, API Gateways, and Oracle databases and integration tools.
