About the position

The Big Data Architect at Insight Global is responsible for designing and implementing solutions architecture in the realm of Big Data and Analytics. This role involves collaborating with business stakeholders to understand their requirements, documenting both technical and user needs, and specifying the hardware and software stack necessary for implementation. The position requires a strong technical background, leadership skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Understand emerging strategies in Big Data and Analytics in partnership with business and end users.
• Document technical and user requirements for solutions architecture.
• Design solutions architecture to meet documented requirements.
• Specify implementation hardware and software solution stack.
• Lead technical teams and mentor junior members.
• Develop technical relationships with end-users, ISVs, OEMs, and platform architects.

Requirements

• 8+ years of technical solutions experience.
• 5+ years in relevant Big Data/Analytics areas.
• Experience with Enterprise Business Intelligence and Analytics (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Teradata).
• Knowledge of Hadoop and other Industry Big Data Frameworks.
• Experience with industry vertical applications for Big Data/Analytics.
• Understanding of infrastructure for Big Data Solutions (Clustered/Distributed Computing, Storage, Data Center Networking).
• Experience deploying large distributed Big Data Applications.
• Experience designing, building, and operating cloud services.
