About the position

We are seeking a skilled Big Data Developer with strong Java experience to join our team in Phoenix, AZ. This role is ideal for candidates who possess a blend of Big Data technologies and solid hands-on Java programming skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Big Data solutions using Java.
• Implement data pipelines and ETL processes with high efficiency and scalability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define data requirements and solutions.
• Utilize frameworks such as Apache Hadoop, Spark, or similar Big Data tools.
• Perform data integration, transformation, and analysis using distributed computing systems.
• Write clean, reusable, and scalable Java code to support the data processing architecture.
• Troubleshoot and optimize data processing and performance tuning.
• Ensure the implementation of best practices in data security and compliance.

Requirements

• 3+ years of hands-on experience with Big Data technologies (Hadoop, Spark, etc.).
• Strong proficiency in Java development (minimum 4-5 years).
• Experience with distributed data systems and data management.
• Familiarity with ETL processes, data transformation, and integration.
• Experience working in Agile development environments.
• Knowledge of data storage technologies such as HDFS, NoSQL databases, or other similar tools.
• Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Google Cloud Platform, or Azure is a plus.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Kafka, Hive, or other data streaming and query tools.
• Working knowledge of Python or Scala.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Git, and DevOps practices.
