Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data into information products.
• Oversee the development and implementation of Apache Hadoop frameworks for efficient data storage and processing.
• Work closely with data scientists to implement data analytics pipelines.
• Convert complex technical and functional requirements into detailed system designs for data processing and storage solutions.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior staff by conducting training sessions and reviewing their project outputs.
• Investigate and evaluate alternative data storage and processing options.
• Analyze vast datasets to uncover insights and trends that drive informed business decisions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Big Data engineering or a related role.
• Knowledge of Core Java, Linux, SQL, and any scripting language.
• Proven experience with Python, Spark, and Hive for data processing and analytics.
• Familiarity with data warehousing, data modeling techniques, and industry-standard visualization tools (e.g., Tableau).
