About the position
The Big Data Infrastructure Engineer at Zoom will collaborate with other engineers to ensure smooth data ingestion and transformation processes. This role focuses on building large-scale data processing platforms, implementing automated methods for infrastructure management, and creating advanced monitoring systems. The engineer will also be responsible for driving issue resolutions by replicating issues and identifying root causes in the development environment.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Big Data Engineers to ensure smooth data ingestion and transformation.
- Design and implement automated methods for building and updating Big Data infrastructure.
- Create advanced monitoring systems for the data processing platform.
- Drive issue resolutions by replicating issues and finding root causes in the development environment.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience as a Big Data platform and infrastructure engineer.
- Experience with Python, shell scripting, and Java for automating infrastructure.
- Ability to manage and automate AWS services.
- Experience with Ansible, Terraform, Chef, or similar infrastructure as code tools.
- Knowledge of system design and implementation for infrastructure management.
- Experience with Cloudera CDH/CDP platform or AWS Cloud Services, EC2, EMR.
