About the position
Innova Solutions is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join their team on a contract basis. This role involves working with various technologies such as Python, Spark, AWS, and ETL pipelines to migrate existing data pipelines and enhance data processing capabilities. The position is hybrid, primarily based in McLean, VA, and offers flexibility in workdays.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain ETL pipelines using Python and Spark.
- Migrate existing data pipelines from ECS to AWS Glue.
- Utilize AWS services such as EMR and Lambda for data processing.
- Collaborate with teams to implement GraphQL where applicable.
- Ensure data quality and integrity throughout the data lifecycle.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Data Engineer or similar role.
- Strong proficiency in Python and Spark.
- Experience with AWS services, particularly EMR and Glue.
- Familiarity with ETL processes and data pipeline development.
- Knowledge of GraphQL is a plus.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with Databricks is a plus.
- Familiarity with migrating data pipelines to AWS Glue.
