About the position

The Big Data Operations Analyst will be an integral part of KBR's Defense Systems Engineering (DSE) unit, specifically supporting the Test Resource Management Center's (TRMC) Big Data and Knowledge Management Cloud Hybrid Edge-to-Enterprise Evaluation & Test Analysis Suite (CHEETAS) Team. This role involves working on prototype Big Data and Knowledge Management systems for Department of Defense (DoD) testing ranges and various acquisition programs. The successful candidate will provide both on-site and remote analytic support and solutions at DoD testing ranges and labs for various acquisition programs, events, and experiments. In this position, you will be expected to integrate and operate various software and tools to deliver insightful recommendations based on data-driven analysis of DoD datasets. You will interface with end users and stakeholders to gather and document requirements, use cases, and analytical needs. Additionally, you will design and implement enhancements to tools and reports, provide feature requests to development teams, and present analysis results to stakeholders and VIPs. Proficiency in using and troubleshooting BD and KM tools developed by TRMC, government and industry partners, and commercial off-the-shelf tools is essential. As an Operations Analyst, you will ensure that stakeholders have the necessary analytical tools, data products, and reports to make informed decisions. You will assist non-analyst stakeholders with the analysis of DoD datasets, effectively communicate at both programmatic and technical levels, and run and operate CHEETAS and other tools. This position requires travel of 25% with potential surges to 50% to support end users at various DoD ranges and labs across the US and Hawaii. When not supporting a site, you can work remotely or from a nearby KBR office, if available and desired. Join the award-winning TRMC BDKM team and contribute to revolutionizing data analysis across the Department of Defense.
