The Big Data Operations Analyst position at KBR is a critical role within the Defense Systems Engineering (DSE) unit, which provides technical solutions in systems engineering, AI, C6ISR, and missile defense for the Department of Defense and Intelligence Community. The successful candidate will join the Test Resource Management Center's (TRMC) Big Data (BD) and Knowledge Management (KM) Cloud Hybrid Edge-to-Enterprise Evaluation & Test Analysis Suite (CHEETAS) Team. This role involves working on prototype BD and KM systems for DoD testing ranges and various acquisition programs. As an Operations Analyst, you will provide on-site and remote analytic support and solutions at DoD testing ranges and labs for various acquisition programs, events, and experiments. In this position, you will be expected to integrate and run various software and tools to make insightful recommendations based on data-driven analysis of DoD datasets. You will interface with end users and stakeholders to gather and document requirements, use cases, and analytical needs. Additionally, you will design and implement enhancements to tools and reports or provide feature requests to development teams, presenting analysis results to stakeholders and VIPs. Successful candidates will utilize BD and KM tools developed by TRMC, government and industry partners, and commercial off-the-shelf tools, becoming proficient in their use, operation, and minor troubleshooting. As a key member of the CHEETAS Team, you will ensure stakeholders have the analytical tools, data products, and reports they need to make informed decisions. You will assist non-analyst stakeholders with the analysis of DoD datasets, demonstrating the potential insights gained from your analysis of DoD Test and Evaluation (T&E) data. This role requires effective communication at both programmatic and technical levels, as well as the ability to adapt internally-developed tools and reports to meet emerging needs. You will gather use cases, requirements, and gaps from stakeholders to provide information as feature requests or bug reports to the CHEETAS development team. The position may require travel of 25% to 50% to support end users at various DoD ranges and labs across the US and Hawaii, with the flexibility to work remotely or from a nearby KBR office when not on-site.
