About the position

The Big Data Solutions Architect role is a contract position focused on designing and implementing big data solutions within the banking and financial industry. The position requires extensive experience in big data technologies, solution architecture, and data analytics, with a strong emphasis on collaboration and communication with various stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement big data solutions using Hadoop and other frameworks.
• Lead technical teams in the development and deployment of big data applications.
• Collaborate with end-users, ISVs, OEMs, and platform architects to develop technical relationships.
• Represent the company in industry standards organizations and technical forums.
• Mentor and guide team members in best practices for big data solutions.

Requirements

• 8+ years of technical solutions experience in IT or related fields.
• 5+ years of experience in Big Data/Analytics areas such as Enterprise Business Intelligence and Analytics.
• Proficiency in Hadoop and other industry big data frameworks.
• Experience with clustered/distributed computing and data center networking.
• Strong communication skills and ability to represent the company in industry events.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in requirements engineering and solution architecture.
• Knowledge of cloud services deployment in IT or systems integration.
• Familiarity with industry vertical applications for big data.
