About the position
The position is for a Technology and Data Engineer with a focus on big data and advanced engineering solutions. The role involves advising leadership on complex technical needs, leading strategies to resolve unique challenges, and translating technology experience into engineering solutions that align with business objectives. The engineer will also maintain knowledge of industry best practices and engage with various levels of professionals across the enterprise.
Responsibilities
- Act as an advisor to leadership on applications, network, information security, database, operating systems, or web technologies.
- Lead the strategy and resolution of complex challenges requiring in-depth evaluation across multiple areas.
- Translate advanced technology experience into technical engineering solutions.
- Provide vision, direction, and expertise to leadership on implementing innovative business solutions.
- Maintain knowledge of industry best practices and recommend innovations to enhance operations.
- Engage strategically with professionals and managers across the enterprise.
Requirements
- 7+ years of Engineering experience or equivalent through work experience, training, military experience, or education.
- 5+ years of Python experience.
- 5+ years of big data experience (Big Query, Hadoop).
- 5+ years with Linux operating system capabilities.
- 3 years of experience in AIML area (MLOps).
- 3+ years of supporting cloud infrastructures (GCP/Azure).
- 3+ years of Pyspark experience.
- 3+ years with VMWare Virtualization technologies.
- Working knowledge of Auto Client technologies such as H2O Driverless AI, DataRobot, VertexAI, Elastic and Vector DB.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Nice-to-haves
- 1+ year of experience in LLM, Generative AI (developing capabilities or dev/ops).
- Experience in developing APIs on GCP/Azure/API Gateways.
- 1+ year of experience in Elastic Search, Vector Database, Run:AI, Model Development.
