About the position

The Assistant Branch Manager (ABM) position is an entry-level role within a growing financial services company, designed to provide a clear path to management. This role involves a comprehensive on-the-job training program lasting 18 to 24 months, where the ABM learns the intricacies of branch management while actively helping customers meet their financial goals. The position emphasizes performance, community involvement, and offers competitive compensation along with various benefits.

Responsibilities

  • Assist customers in meeting their financial goals by originating new loan business.
  • Educate customers on consumer lending services and improve credit.
  • Guide customers through the loan application process and make payment reminder calls.
  • Evaluate loan applications and perform risk analysis.
  • Make credit decisions and administer loan closings.
  • Process insurance claims and assist the Branch Manager with recruiting and training.
  • Develop and implement plans to meet sales goals and ensure an outstanding client experience.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Sales, or a related field is required.
  • 1 year or more of customer-facing sales experience is preferred.
  • Strong communication and customer relations skills are essential.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with Windows and Microsoft Office Suite is required.
  • Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and auto insurance are necessary.
  • Must meet acceptable standards for criminal background history and credit history.
  • Willingness to relocate for promotion into a Branch Manager role.

Nice-to-haves

  • Spanish speaking skills are desirable but not required.
