About the position

The Assistant Branch Manager (ABM) position is an entry-level role within a growing financial services company, designed to provide a clear path to management. This role involves a comprehensive on-the-job training program lasting 18 to 24 months, where the ABM learns the intricacies of branch management while actively helping customers meet their financial goals. The position emphasizes performance, community involvement, and offers competitive compensation along with numerous benefits.

Responsibilities

  • Assist customers in meeting their financial goals by recommending suitable loan products and services.
  • Educate customers on consumer lending services, including credit improvement and debt consolidation.
  • Guide customers through the loan application process and make payment reminder calls as needed.
  • Evaluate loan applications and perform risk analysis to make informed credit decisions.
  • Administer loan closings and process insurance claims.
  • Support the Branch Manager in recruiting and training new staff.
  • Develop and implement plans to meet sales goals and promote core values.
  • Ensure an outstanding client experience and contribute to the overall success of the branch.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Sales, or a related field is required.
  • 1 year or more of customer-facing sales experience is preferred.
  • Strong communication and customer relations skills are essential.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with Windows and Microsoft Office Suite is required.
  • Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and auto insurance are necessary.
  • Must meet acceptable standards for criminal background and credit history.
  • Willingness to relocate for promotion into a Branch Manager role.

Nice-to-haves

  • Spanish speaking skills are desirable but not required.
