About the position

The Assistant Branch Manager (ABM) position is an entry-level role within a growing financial services company, designed to provide a clear path to management. This role involves a comprehensive on-the-job training program lasting 18 to 24 months, where the ABM will learn the intricacies of branch management while actively helping customers meet their financial goals. The position offers competitive compensation, including a base salary and uncapped bonuses, along with a strong emphasis on community involvement and employee growth.

Responsibilities

  • Assist customers in meeting their financial goals by recommending suitable loan products and services.
  • Educate customers on consumer lending services, including credit improvement and debt consolidation.
  • Guide customers through the loan application process and make payment reminder calls as needed.
  • Evaluate loan applications and perform risk analysis to make informed credit decisions.
  • Administer loan closings and process insurance claims.
  • Support the Branch Manager in recruiting and training new staff.
  • Develop and implement plans to meet sales goals and promote core values.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Sales, or a related field is required.
  • Ability to speak Spanish is a plus.
  • 1 year or more of customer-facing sales experience is preferred but not required.
  • Professional demeanor with a positive attitude and strong communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with Windows and Microsoft Office Suite is necessary.
  • Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and auto insurance are required.
  • Must meet acceptable standards for criminal background and credit history checks.
  • Willingness to relocate for promotion into a Branch Manager role.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in retail sales or goal-oriented environments is preferred.
