About the position

The Bi-Lingual Assistant Community Manager at TAM Residential is a support role focused on managing financial transactions and records for the assigned community. This position involves preparing reports, reconciling accounts, and assisting with leasing efforts while ensuring compliance with Fair Housing regulations. The role emphasizes customer service and teamwork, contributing to a positive living experience for residents.

Responsibilities

  • Posting all funds collected and making daily deposits.
  • Preparing and delivering Legal Notices on the appropriate date allowed by the lease contract.
  • Keeping an accurate and current delinquency report to be submitted to the Community Manager and Regional Supervisor.
  • Pursuing all legal means of collecting delinquent rent.
  • Processing NSF checks, including posting the entry and notifying the resident.
  • Completing Move-Out procedures by assessing and charging for existing damage or cleaning.
  • Closing the books monthly on the assigned date and time.
  • Reviewing and reconciling the monthly reports.
  • Assisting all leasing associates with leasing efforts, aiming for a closing ratio of 50% or better on qualified prospects.
  • Coordinating move-in dates with apartment readiness alongside leasing associates.
  • Generating traffic through marketing calls, completing at least five per week.
  • Assisting with the planning and implementation of the monthly or quarterly marketing activity plan.
  • Understanding and explaining every paragraph of the lease contract.
  • Obtaining renewals on expiring leases within the specific time period.
  • Assisting the Community Manager with resident activities and communication.
  • Reporting to work on time with a neat and professional appearance.
  • Being courteous and pleasant to residents and associates at all times.
  • Completing all daily, weekly, and monthly reports thoroughly.
  • Understanding the Community Manager's role and reporting requirements to assume responsibility during their absence.
  • Abiding by all Fair Housing Laws.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bilingual in English and another language.
  • Knowledge of Fair Housing regulations.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Entry-level experience in property management or related field.
