About the position

The Bilingual Assistant Program Director at Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health plays a vital role in providing high-quality, trauma-informed care for unaccompanied children. This position involves supporting the Program Director in overseeing the operation, assessment, planning, and evaluation of residential, educational, case management, and clinical services. The Assistant Program Director will lead a multidisciplinary team to ensure effective programming and treatment, while also ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Program Director in the operation of the Short-term Shelter program.
  • Assess, plan, and evaluate residential, educational, case management, and clinical services for children.
  • Provide leadership to deliver quality programming and treatment.
  • Recognize and proactively respond to problems in program delivery.
  • Establish effective outcome measures to evaluate and improve program effectiveness.
  • Supervise, develop, and coach staff and managers.
  • Interact with regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with applicable regulations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in education, psychology, sociology, or a relevant behavioral science field.
  • 5 years of progressive employment experience with social services or childcare agency.
  • 5 years of supervisory experience in a residential facility.
  • 3 years of supervisory/management experience in a mental health setting (preferred).
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish and minimum 21 years of age.
