About the position

The Bilingual Banking Center Manager is responsible for overseeing the operational efforts of the banking center, ensuring compliance with established policies and procedures, and providing a full range of services to customers. This role involves training and supervising staff, managing banking center transactions, and ensuring profitability in line with bank standards.

Responsibilities

  • Direct and administer the operational efforts of the banking center.
  • Supervise work scheduling and workflow of daily operations.
  • Ensure banking center security by following all security procedures.
  • Conduct operations in accordance with established Bank policies and legal requirements.
  • Ensure accuracy in weekly logs and compliance with audit requirements.
  • Supervise customer service functions and assist with New Accounts and Teller line as needed.
  • Cross-sell Bank services to customers.
  • Implement changes to established policies and procedures within the banking center.
  • Maintain proper cash controls and ensure daily transaction balancing.
  • Oversee accountability for cash handling and assist Tellers with balancing issues.
  • Control daily deposits according to established policies.
  • Verify cash in possession of Tellers periodically.
  • Supervise banking center staff to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Provide leadership through objective setting and communication.
  • Conduct regular meetings with banking center employees for training and updates.
  • Ensure personnel are well trained in their respective jobs and conduct security training.
  • Track individual progress and conduct performance appraisals.
  • Approve sick leave, vacation, overtime, and time sheets for associates.
  • Establish and maintain effective business relations with customers.
  • Resolve customer requests and complaints promptly.
  • Counsel customers regarding their financial needs and services.
  • Ensure the banking center's quality reputation is maintained.
  • Coordinate banking center operations effectively.
  • Insure deposit growth and establish sales goals/incentives.
  • Manage expenses and pursue cost-saving measures.
  • Prepare periodic banking center activity reports and make recommendations for improvements.
  • Ensure proper maintenance and housekeeping of the banking center.
  • Keep management informed of banking center activities and significant problems.

Requirements

  • Associate degree in business or a related field, or equivalent combination of training and work experience.
  • Thorough knowledge of Bank services and products.
  • Understanding of related legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Familiarity with Branch functions, policies, and procedures.
  • Bilingual in Spanish.
  • Minimum three years related experience in a financial institution, with at least two years in a supervisory role.
  • Strong interpersonal, leadership, and supervisory skills.
  • Well organized with attention to detail.
  • Ability to operate related computer applications and business equipment.
  • Ability to maintain an effective and efficient workflow.
