About The Position

The Bilingual Clinical/Medical Assistant at Planned Parenthood Association of Utah (PPAU) plays a crucial role in providing high-quality sexual and reproductive healthcare services. Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• 1+ years experience in a medical setting or extensive customer service contact, or 0-1 years experience with post-high school education/certification in a related field.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred but not required.
• Ability to perform phlebotomy and CLIA waived tests.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in social work or family planning.
• Certification in a medical or health field.

Responsibilities

• Perform clinical and clerical functions in a team environment.
• Provide quality healthcare and excellent customer service.
• Maintain client electronic record systems and lab results.
• Interview clients using client-centered education methods to obtain and provide information.
• Perform appropriate lab procedures in accordance with OSHA and universal infection control guidelines.
• Assist medical providers in examination and surgical rooms.
• Communicate with clients about all options available to them regarding unintended pregnancies.
• Participate with team members in identifying and improving systems and services.
