About the position

The Bilingual Cloud Technical Account Manager (TAM) at AWS is responsible for providing consultative architectural and operational guidance to customers, ensuring they achieve maximum value from AWS services. This role involves acting as the principal technical advisor, engaging with a diverse range of clients from startups to Fortune 500 companies, and delivering tailored engagements such as Strategic Business Reviews and Cost Optimization workshops. The TAM will leverage their technical expertise and customer-facing skills to advocate for clients, manage incidents, and drive discussions with senior leadership, all while maintaining operational health and resilience in customers' AWS environments.

Responsibilities

  • Provide consultative architectural and operational guidance to customers.
  • Act as the principal technical advisor and 'voice of the customer' for AWS services.
  • Deliver tailored engagements including Strategic Business Reviews and Cost Optimization workshops.
  • Consult on architecture, governance, security, and operations for AWS implementations.
  • Advocate for customers and provide strategic technical guidance.
  • Maintain operational health and resilience of customers' AWS environments.
  • Develop close relationships with customers to understand their business needs and technical challenges.
  • Drive discussions with senior leadership regarding incidents and risk management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Math, or related discipline, and 2+ years of equivalent work experience or 4+ years of related work experience.
  • 2+ years of technical engineering experience.
  • Experience in Information Technology operations.
  • Bilingual in English and Mandarin.

Nice-to-haves

  • Understanding of the AWS Well-Architected Framework pillars and their application to customer architecture.
  • Experience as a technical lead in internal enterprise or external customer-facing roles.
  • Professional oral and written communication skills, especially in presentations to executive teams.
  • Experience in a 24x7 operational services or support environment.
  • Familiarity with AWS services and/or other cloud offerings.
  • Ability to apply technical or operational expertise to solve complex challenges.
