About the position

The Bilingual Corporate Strategic Planning Analyst at MUFG Bank is responsible for supporting upper management in critical bank-wide initiatives and operations, including regulatory remediation support, ESG governance, and board operations. This role involves collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, preparation of high-level executive materials, and development of internal communications, all while ensuring effective execution under limited supervision.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with the Regulatory Operations & Affairs Office (ROAO) to enhance regulatory governance.
  • Attend periodical CRMR Committee meetings and create meeting minutes for circulation to stakeholders.
  • Serve as liaison between ROAO and Tokyo HO to develop required Executive Committee/Board materials.
  • Prepare for high-level executive meetings with senior regulators.
  • Support ESG/climate change initiatives through management support and liaison between U.S. and Tokyo stakeholders.
  • Participate in ESG/climate change seminars and conferences to understand industry trends.
  • Collaborate with the Office of the Corporate Secretary for MUAH Board and U.S. Advisory Board matters.
  • Organize materials for submission to the Tokyo HO Audit Committee.
  • Support internal communications for the Chief of Staff organization.
  • Arrange administrative travel/meeting arrangements for Tokyo HO and Americas counterparts.
  • Provide planning and administrative support for Americas management as needed.
  • Support ad-hoc assignments and administrative operations in the team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required.
  • Typically requires 3+ years of demonstrated knowledge in project coordination experience.
  • A minimum of 3+ years' experience in supporting senior executives in large corporations.
  • Strong interpersonal and time management skills.
  • Excellent organization and people skills.
  • Strong database, spreadsheet, PowerPoint, and general computer skills.
  • Project management leadership skills.
  • Ability to work with and across multiple departments.
  • Excellent presentation and written communication skills in English and Japanese.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in financial services or banking industry.
