About the position

The Bilingual Customer Service Representative at Southern Insurance Underwriters Inc. is responsible for providing high-quality customer service in both Spanish and English. This hybrid role involves effective communication with customers via telephone and email, ensuring accurate account management and support within a dynamic financial services organization.

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality customer service through telephone and written communication.
  • Deliver accurate and timely customer support, including account corrections and adjustments.
  • Manage correspondence and returned mail, ensuring accurate address updates in the system.
  • Process document indexing and payment transactions from customer interactions.
  • Assist agents with Electronic Fund Transfer (EFT) payment applications.
  • Review and approve daily files for agency payments as needed.
  • Create and maintain recurring payment schedules for business partners.

Requirements

  • 5-7 years of experience in a call center environment is required.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Fluency in Spanish and English (written and verbal) skills are required.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, along with excellent interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to quickly adapt to new software applications.
  • Efficient multitasking skills in a fast-paced setting.
  • Strong organizational and prioritization abilities.
  • Detail-oriented with effective problem-solving and research skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in premium finance or insurance is advantageous, but not required.
  • Familiarity with the standard concepts and practices in the financial services or insurance industry.
