About the position

The Customer Action Representative at All In Energy plays a vital role in supporting Spanish-, Portuguese-, and Khmer-speaking families in the Merrimack Valley to navigate Massachusetts' energy efficiency programs. This position focuses on providing high-quality assistance to residents, ensuring they can access energy-saving programs that promote healthier homes and contribute to climate change mitigation. The role includes paid training and certifications, paving the way for career advancement in the clean energy sector.

Responsibilities

  • Perform intake by phone and in-person through walk-ins at the Lawrence-based office and other locations.
  • Conduct eligibility screenings for clients to help them understand available programs.
  • Assist in finding and scheduling contractors for required work, including initial no-cost home energy assessments.
  • Make in-home visits to collect data for assessing home electrification opportunities.
  • Follow up with residents post-energy assessments to clarify recommendations and facilitate insulation additions.
  • Assist clients with qualification and application support for rebates, incentives, and financing for their projects.
  • Ensure accuracy and timeliness in invoicing for services rendered.
  • Co-manage projects with partner organizations and vendors, providing updates for clients.
  • Maintain organized contact records and data about partnerships and community members, as well as program successes and challenges.
  • Solicit feedback from residents and ask for referrals from their networks.
  • Perform miscellaneous tasks associated with starting up a new program as needed.

Requirements

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish, Portuguese, or Khmer, both written and spoken.
  • Passion for addressing global climate change and equitable clean energy access.
  • Ability to engage with strangers in person and over the phone to encourage participation in energy-saving actions.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills and ability to overcome obstacles.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a small team.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience communicating with low-income and/or majority-minority communities.
  • Sales, outreach, or organizing experience, such as retail, political canvassing, or fundraising.
  • Experience working with key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Experience with phone banking or other phone-based outreach.
  • Familiarity with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems like Salesforce.
  • Basic knowledge of energy usage and loss in homes.
