About the position

The Bilingual Customer Service Representative is responsible for collecting payments on behalf of clients while adhering to compliance and ethical standards. This role requires fluency in Spanish or Portuguese and involves negotiating payment terms with consumers through inbound and outbound calls. The position is full-time, with a structured training program and a focus on maintaining professional relationships with clients and consumers.

Responsibilities

  • Take inbound and outbound phone calls to collect payments by negotiating payment terms and methods.
  • Monitor debtors' accounts and follow up to ensure timely payments are made.
  • Utilize skip tracing techniques and collection strategies to locate consumers for debt collection.
  • Collect balances or set up appropriate payment plans.
  • Review accounts to identify adjustments and discrepancies, creating requests for resolution.
  • Handle debtor disputes and overcome objections, suggesting payment sources for debts.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Fluency in Spanish or Portuguese is required.
  • Experience in customer service is preferred.
  • Ability to negotiate payment terms effectively.
  • Familiarity with collection strategies and methodologies.
