About the position
The Bilingual Digital Content Producer/MMJ at Gray Media is responsible for generating Texas-based news content in Spanish for Telemundo's digital and broadcast platforms. This role involves both digital and on-air reporting, requiring strong writing skills in both Spanish and English, adherence to AP Style guidelines, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. The successful candidate will collaborate with the Spanish Digital Content Center to distribute content across various markets in the U.S.
Responsibilities
- Generate Texas-based news content in Spanish for Telemundo digital and broadcast platforms.
- Respond to local and national news coverage in real-time.
- Produce on-air news reports as a multi-media journalist for weeknight Telemundo newscasts.
- Collaborate with the Spanish Digital Content Center to distribute content to Spanish stations' websites.
- Demonstrate strong writing and copy-editing skills in both Spanish and English.
- Meet deadlines, prioritize assignments, and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Journalism or a related field.
- 2 years of media-related experience or comparable work experience.
- Strong writing and organizational skills in both Spanish and English.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
