About the position

As a Bilingual Document Specialist I at Gaming Laboratories International, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Quality Assurance (QA) team in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. This position is ideal for individuals who thrive on multitasking and enhancing organizational effectiveness while ensuring the accuracy of financial figures. You will collaborate with a global team, utilizing your problem-solving skills and attention to detail to support cross-functional initiatives and drive efficiency within the organization. Your responsibilities will include maintaining a comprehensive understanding of the certification compilation and research process, which involves obtaining and verifying required information from engineering documentation. You will be tasked with reviewing engineering documents, ensuring that all necessary notations are present, and troubleshooting various issues by utilizing manufacturer documentation and researching previous submissions as needed. Additionally, you will utilize a file tracking system (Protrack) and other relevant systems to process QA issue reports, generate draft certifications using report templates, and finalize certifications by making necessary changes and uploading final reports for archival. This role requires a diligent, communicative, and collaborative approach, as you will need to understand your audience and deliverables effectively. Being open-minded to new processes and adaptable to change will be key to your success in this position.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain an understanding of the certification compilation and research process, including methods for obtaining required information.
  • Review engineering documentation and verify required notations.
  • Obtain and review engineering documentation via relevant systems.
  • Maintain knowledge of specific requirements for each submission and jurisdiction.
  • Troubleshoot various issues by utilizing manufacturer documentation and researching previous submissions as necessary.
  • Utilize a file tracking system (Protrack) and other systems to process QA issue reports.
  • Use a report generating tool or report template(s) for generating draft certifications.
  • Finalize certifications by making necessary changes, uploading final reports for archival, and pushing reports out to approved status in the database.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalency.
  • Must be Bilingual (English & Spanish).
  • Business School or Legal Assistant Certification preferred.
  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in an administrative or legal field.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.
  • Ability to communicate, both orally and in writing, with team members and clients/prospective clients.
  • Ability to handle and organize multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Demonstrate a high degree of attention to quality, details, and correctness.

Nice-to-haves

  • Business School or Legal Assistant Certification preferred.
