About the position
The Bilingual Driving Instructor at Blue Steel Auto School is responsible for providing driving instruction to both beginner and advanced students. The role emphasizes community engagement and aims to transform lives through quality driving education. Instructors will teach safe driving techniques, basic vehicle operation, and assist students in preparing for their DMV road tests, all while fostering a positive and motivating learning environment.
Responsibilities
- Teach beginners and advanced students how to drive
- Teach basic mechanical operation of vehicle
- Teach safe driving techniques (parallel parking, 3 point turn, etc.)
- Escort students to and from DMV Road Test sites
- Communicate with staff at the office to ensure smooth operation
Requirements
- High school or equivalent (Required)
- Valid US driver's license for at least 2 years (Required)
- Bilingual (Spanish & English)
- Outstanding driving record
- Familiar with New York State driving traffic rules and regulations
- Patient
- Excellent people skills
Nice-to-haves
- Teaching experience (1 year preferred)
- Driving experience (2 years preferred)
