About the position

Xpress Entertainment is seeking a talented and experienced bilingual (English/Spanish) DJ/MC to provide exceptional wedding entertainment for multicultural clients in South Florida. The role involves performing as both DJ and Master of Ceremonies, delivering bilingual announcements, and curating music selections that reflect the cultural backgrounds of the couples. The DJ/MC will engage with guests, ensure smooth event transitions, and maintain a lively atmosphere throughout the event.

Responsibilities

• Perform as both DJ and Master of Ceremonies (MC) for weddings and special events.
• Deliver bilingual announcements (English and Spanish) in a clear, professional, and charismatic manner.
• Work with clients to curate music playlists that incorporate both English and Spanish genres (salsa, reggaeton, merengue, bachata, pop, dance, etc.).
• Engage with a multicultural audience and create a fun, inclusive atmosphere.
• Coordinate with other vendors (event planners, photographers, etc.) to ensure seamless event execution.
• Provide and set up all necessary DJ equipment and sound systems, ensuring high-quality sound throughout the event.
• Adapt to the crowd and modify the playlist as needed to maintain energy and engagement.
• Maintain professionalism in presentation and attire throughout the event.
• Willingness to travel to event locations in Palm Beach County, Dade County, and Broward County.

Requirements

• Fluency in both English and Spanish, with strong communication skills in both languages.
• Proven experience as a wedding DJ/MC, preferably with bilingual or multicultural events.
• Extensive knowledge of English and Spanish music genres, with the ability to blend and transition between both.
• Strong microphone and public speaking skills, with the ability to engage and entertain guests.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings.
• Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to various event locations in Palm Beach County, Dade County, and Broward County.
• Professional DJ equipment and sound systems (preferred).
• Experience working with diverse clients and understanding cultural traditions and customs in weddings.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
