About the position

The Bilingual Front Desk Receptionist at Centrum Health plays a vital role in ensuring the efficient operation of our medical clinic. This position is designed for individuals who are passionate about providing exceptional patient care and administrative support. As the first point of contact for patients, the Front Desk Receptionist will manage various tasks related to patient care management, organization, and communication with a focus on accuracy, quality, and promptness. The role requires a commitment to patient care, demonstrating empathy and exceptional organizational abilities. The Front Desk Receptionist will work closely with both providers and patients, facilitating a seamless and consumer-centric care experience that maximizes value for all stakeholders involved. In this role, the Front Desk Receptionist will be responsible for checking patients in and out, utilizing various computer applications such as the Microsoft Office Suite, and updating and filing patient medical records. The position also involves verifying insurance and obtaining necessary consent forms, returning patient phone calls in a timely manner, and accurately answering and routing phone calls while greeting patients. The Front Desk Receptionist will follow all organizational policies regarding safety and security, maintaining restricted areas by safeguarding keyless entry codes and computer system passwords. Additionally, optimizing provider schedules and ensuring patient satisfaction through efficient scheduling will be key responsibilities. The role also includes maintaining office inventory and equipment by anticipating supply needs and expediting supply orders, along with any additional duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

  • Check patients in and out.
  • Use various computer applications (ie. Microsoft Office Suite).
  • Update and file patient medical records.
  • Verify insurance and obtain consent forms.
  • Return patients' phone calls daily and timely.
  • Answer and route phone calls accurately and greet patients.
  • Follow all organizational policies on safety and security; maintain restricted areas by safeguarding keyless entry codes and computer system passwords.
  • Optimize provider schedules and patient satisfaction with efficient scheduling.
  • Maintain office inventory and equipment by anticipating supply needs and expediting supply orders.
  • Perform additional duties and tasks as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school or GED equivalent.
  • Minimum of 1-year experience as a receptionist.
  • Bilingual (English and Spanish).
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Computer literacy.
  • Respect for patient confidentiality.

  • Responsible and trustworthy.
