About the position

Oasis Medical and Surgical Wellness Group is seeking a bilingual front desk receptionist to join our team in Elizabeth, NJ. This role is essential in creating a welcoming environment for our patients and ensuring the smooth operation of our healthcare facility. As the first point of contact, you will play a crucial role in providing a positive first impression and facilitating effective communication between patients and medical staff. Your responsibilities will include greeting patients warmly, managing appointment schedules, and handling inquiries both in person and over the phone. You will also be responsible for maintaining patient records, verifying insurance information, and processing payments. This position requires a high level of professionalism, empathy, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. In addition to your front desk duties, you will collaborate closely with medical staff and other departments to ensure seamless patient care. Your role will involve troubleshooting scheduling conflicts, addressing patient concerns, and maintaining an organized reception area. The ideal candidate will possess excellent customer service skills, be detail-oriented, and have the flexibility to adapt to changing priorities. A strong command of both English and Spanish is required to effectively communicate with our diverse patient population. This is a full-time position with a day shift schedule from Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend availability as needed. Responsibilities

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1 year of experience as a medical receptionist required.
  • 1 year of computer skills required.
  • Fluency in Spanish and English required.
