About the position

The Bilingual Healthcare Customer Service Representative (CSR) at TEKsystems is responsible for managing inbound and outbound calls related to insurance verification and appointment scheduling within a healthcare setting. This role requires effective communication skills in both English and Spanish, as well as the ability to handle high-volume calls efficiently. The CSR will also cover for front office receptionists and ensure smooth communication between providers and staff.

Responsibilities

  • Manage inbound and outbound calls for insurance verification and eligibility checks.
  • Schedule and confirm appointments for patients.
  • Take and relay messages to providers and staff throughout the clinic.
  • Cover for front office receptionists when they are unavailable.
  • Handle calls that typically last between 2-10 minutes, depending on the nature of the inquiry.

Requirements

  • 1-2 years of experience as a call center agent in a medical clinic or hospital setting.
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English is required.
  • Strong customer service skills and experience in a call center environment.
