The Early Start Bilingual Visitor at Brightpoint plays a crucial role in supporting expectant parents and families with young children in McLean County. This position focuses on providing strength-based, family-centered services, comprehensive assessments, and parent support groups. The Visitor is responsible for building safe and trusting relationships with families, helping them expand their support networks, and guiding them through the parenting journey with expertise and compassion.

Responsibilities

• Meet with expectant parents and families with young children to provide support and services.
• Conduct comprehensive assessments of family needs.
• Facilitate parent support groups and educational sessions.
• Develop trusting relationships with families to enhance their support networks.
• Assist families in accessing necessary services and resources.
• Document case notes and administrative tasks as required.

Requirements

• Associate's Degree in a human services field required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• One year of experience working with families with children under the age of 5 required.
• Ability to speak English and Spanish required.
• Valid driver's license, insurance, and a reliable vehicle required.
