About the position

The Bilingual Hourly Food & Beverage Supervisor at DoubleTree by Hilton is responsible for assisting the Front Office Manager in managing food and beverage operations to ensure customer satisfaction and compliance with corporate policies. This role involves supervising service periods, training staff, and ensuring high standards of service and safety in the restaurant and bar areas.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Front Office Manager in managing food and beverage operations.
• Supervise assigned service periods in the restaurant and scheduled special events.
• Communicate with staff through pre or post service meetings.
• Team up with the Chef and/or Sous Chef to ensure quality of food service.
• Perform restaurant and bar roles as necessary.
• Monitor completion of open and close side duties.
• Ensure staff follows food sanitation policies and procedures.
• Assist in training new front of house staff.
• Manage guest requests, inquiries, and complaints promptly and completely.
• Exercise service recovery to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Follow proper hotel safety policies and procedures.
• Provide a safe work environment by adhering to safety and security procedures.
• Perform any other job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Diploma preferred.
• Two to three years of hotel food and beverage experience.
• Excellent customer service experience.
• Must be of legal age to serve alcohol and TABC Certified.
• Possess a Food Handlers Certification.
• Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparations and service standards.
• Ability to perform basic computer functions and knowledge of F&B POS systems.

Nice-to-haves

• Basic bartending skills.
• Knowledge of BEOs and overseeing special events.
