About the position

We are currently seeking a Bilingual HR Generalist to join our Human Resources department. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and must speak fluent Spanish. This position may have a focus on employee relations. The role is 100% onsite in Van Nuys, California, and offers a full-time schedule. As a Bilingual HR Generalist, you will provide frontline HR support and consultation to employees, interpreting and explaining HR policies and procedures. You will facilitate and manage the employee relations process, including conducting investigations and resolving complex employee complaints. Additionally, you will advise and support managers on organizational policy matters and carry out administrative tasks such as processing documents, recording statistics, gathering payroll data, and inputting employee data into HRIS databases. In this role, you will utilize Microsoft Excel to create and generate reports, analyze data, and assist in strategic decision-making processes. Staying up-to-date on federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations to ensure company compliance is crucial. You will also lead, design, and facilitate organizational training and development initiatives, contributing to the overall growth and effectiveness of the HR department.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in an HR Generalist role with an emphasis on employee relations.
  • Fluent in Spanish is a requirement.
  • Comprehensive understanding of local, state, and federal employment laws.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact and professionalism.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite with strong Excel skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and experience with complex transactions and processes.
  • Experience with HRIS and payroll systems.
