About the position

Trinity Solar is seeking a Bilingual HR Generalist to join our team in Lakeland, FL. This full-time position is integral to our regional operations, collaborating closely with centralized corporate HR functional area managers to provide leadership and support for the effective employment and engagement of our workforce. The HR Generalist will play a key role in identifying and delivering successful corporate-level strategies at the regional level, aimed at optimizing the attraction, engagement, and performance of our employees in alignment with company objectives. In this role, you will conduct weekly new hire orientations and harassment prevention training, administer benefits programs, and ensure adherence to company policies and procedures. As a liaison and HR business partner, you will facilitate communication between employees, departments, and senior management. You will manage the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring compliance with corporate policies, and partner with the HR Talent Team and hiring managers to assess talent needs. Your responsibilities will also include managing employee compensation and benefits packages, monitoring leaves of absence, and ensuring compliance with various labor laws and regulations. You will utilize the HRIS (Paycom) system to track and maintain employee data, process employee records, and advise supervisors on company policies. Additionally, you will develop strong working relationships with customers and colleagues, and may be required to travel regionally to satellite locations as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct weekly new hire orientation and harassment prevention training.
  • Administer benefits programs and ensure adherence to policies and procedures.
  • Serve as a liaison/HR business partner between employees, departments, and senior management.
  • Manage the onboarding process for new hires and lead new hire orientation.
  • Partner with HR Talent Team and hiring managers to determine talent needs.
  • Facilitate all areas of HR disciplines and serve as HR business partner to the RVP & Sales location management.
  • Manage local business partnerships with public, private, and academia resources.
  • Oversee employee bonus and rewards/recognition programs.
  • Manage employee compensation and benefits packages, including health benefits and 401K.
  • Monitor leaves of absence, FMLA, terminations, workers compensation, and status changes.
  • Serve as a strategic partner for workplace safety and strategic management.
  • Utilize the HRIS (Paycom) system to track and maintain employee data.
  • Ensure company compliance with I-9, E-Verify, FMLA, OSHA, and labor laws.
  • Process and maintain new and/or current employee records.
  • Advise supervisors/managers about company policies, procedures, and practices.
  • Assume additional responsibilities and perform special projects as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Psychology, or related field is required.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years in a Human Resources Generalist, HR Manager, or HR Business Partner role.
  • Must be bilingual in English and Spanish.
  • Proficiency in Office 365, MS-Word, Excel, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat, and HRIS systems.
  • Experience with Paycom HRIS is preferred.
  • Detail-oriented, thorough, and well-organized.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain professional behavior while working under pressure.
  • Ability to organize/prioritize workload and to multi-task.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality regarding payroll, benefits, and employee issues.
