About the position

We are providing a contract to hire employment opportunity for a BILINGUAL (in Spanish and English) HR Generalist in Memphis, Tennessee. This role, based within the manufacturing industry, encompasses a wide range of human resource functions. The HR Generalist will be expected to handle employee relations, investigate compliance issues, manage the E-Verify process, and partake in recruiting efforts. The position requires a proactive approach to ensure that all HR practices align with company policies and legal requirements, while also fostering a positive work environment for all employees. In this role, the HR Generalist will conduct thorough investigations related to employee relations and compliance issues, ensuring the application of fair and ethical practices. They will process and manage E-Verify procedures, ensuring all employment eligibility requirements are met. Utilizing bilingual skills in both Spanish and English will be essential to facilitate effective communication across all levels of the organization. The HR Generalist will also participate in recruitment efforts, from job posting to candidate selection, ensuring a diverse and skilled workforce. Additionally, the HR Generalist will implement and oversee benefit functions, providing employees with necessary information and support. They will ensure adherence to FMLA regulations, providing guidance and support to employees as needed. The role will also involve utilizing Ceridian and Dayforce systems to streamline HR processes and improve efficiency. Strong communication skills will be leveraged to provide clear and constructive feedback to employees and management, ensuring compliance with all local, state, and federal employment laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Proficiency in both English and another language, as specified by the company's needs.
  • Understanding of benefit functions within a company.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Knowledge of compliance laws and regulations related to HR.
  • Experience in managing employee relations.
  • Knowledge of Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) provisions.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions.
  • Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels of an organization.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
