About the position

The Bilingual IT Helpdesk / Software Developer role at Move On, Inc. combines technical support for Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and logistics applications with software development responsibilities. The position is critical for troubleshooting issues, developing solutions, and improving processes for customers across North America and affiliated companies.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the first point of contact for WMS, logistics applications, and general IT issues.
  • Identify, troubleshoot, resolve, and document end-user technical problems through a ticketing system.
  • Provide remote and on-site technical support to customers and affiliates.
  • Offer guidance, training, and support to end-users on hardware, software, and applications.
  • Collaborate with customers to align system performance with operational needs and participate in business meetings to assess requirements.
  • Design, develop, test, and deploy new software features and solutions for WMS and logistics applications.
  • Implement new technologies and software updates, ensuring seamless integration with business operations.
  • Participate in defining business requirements and consult with stakeholders to align technical solutions with customer needs.
  • Develop both desktop and mobile applications to enhance logistics processes.
  • Perform data transformations and workflow automation using formats such as CSV, Excel, XML, and JSON.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 0-2 years of experience in IT support, helpdesk roles, or software development.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and database management systems (MySQL, MS-SQL Server, Oracle).
  • Knowledge of software development tools such as Eclipse, Visual Studio, Git, and SVN.
  • Programming experience with Java, VB.NET, C#, and familiarity with AngularJS or Bootstrap is a plus.
  • Basic knowledge of IT service processes, incident/problem management, and infrastructure/network environments.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with WMS, ERP, or supply chain systems is preferred.
  • Familiarity with WMS, SCM, or freight forwarding systems is a plus but not required.
  • Skills in English and Japanese (speak, read, write) are a strong plus.

Benefits

  • Full-time position with a salary range of $60,000 - $80,000 per year.
  • 8-hour shift from Monday to Friday.
