About the position
The Bilingual Japanese/English Product Coordinator will serve as the primary liaison between Japanese development teams and the company's production team for a live operations title. This role involves monitoring product updates, translating materials, and providing feedback on marketing efforts, ensuring effective communication and product maintenance.
Responsibilities
- Primary liaison between the Japanese development teams and company's production team for a live operations title.
- Responsible for monitoring product updates and maintenances.
- Request information required for social media and marketing efforts.
- Share fan feedback with Japanese development teams.
- Accurately translate informational material from written Japanese to English and vice versa.
- Provide feedback on marketing materials.
- Check accuracy of in-game messaging.
- Check accuracy of messaging on all official channels.
- Provide a helpful presence for the fans.
- Create proposals for tournaments, giveaways, and merchandise at live events.
- Assist with KPI data analysis.
- Ensure correct timings of messages, announcements, and reveals.
- Travel for business as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required.
- 1-2 years of localization experience in the same or similar position.
- Ability to speak, read, and write Japanese is required.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Nice-to-haves
- Familiarity with Adobe Photoshop and handling video equipment is a big plus.
- Eagerness to learn and grow in this industry.
